R-A-U-X-A, 2020

From her earliest creations, Aina Alegre saw her art as a way to reinvent the body. She sees the stage as a physical laboratory at the crossroads of disciplines, questioning rituals and social representations. Her duo DELICES, explores the limits of the flesh when THE DAY OF THE BEAST and then, at NIGHT, OUR OTHERS are interested in the transformation of the self through celebration. However different they may be, her shows are crossed by a recurring gesture, that of striking and hammering. Aina Alegre follows the trace of this gesture and draws a powerful choreographic engine from it. She is inspired by an ancient and collective memory of gestures containing hammering, the starting point to enter new physical, symbolic and temporal dimensions.

In this creation, she becomes more deeply attached to the sounds and movements contained in this gesture, she observes its relationship to the ground, gravity, space, resonance and vibrations.

In R-A-U-X-A, the body passes through different environments, dialogues with light, space and electro-acoustic and modular music played live. All these elements create a friction between organic matter and technology. The scenic device implements a sensory landscape and a sound architecture.
